Andre Klapper,

There is a major difference between being 100% right and screwing up on fundamental ideas in so many different ways.I think you already understand the difference well but using this argument to avoid facing up to the real issue. Side stepping important issues like this is not a good idea.

Vincent Untz, even if you a indecisive, I appreciate a response on this matter. Since you are active on the community front and standing up for various elections etc, it is good for you to be honest and transparent in this matter. Make your view points on this clear to everyone.

one can also be indecisive about such a deal. no need for statements at all.

If you disagree with that deal, then making it explicit would certainly help understand you. I think that is important for the community. It is certainly your call to make but you need to be clear about where you stand and be transparent about it.

First, thanks to everybody for the congratulations :-)

jef: me working at Novell doesn't mean I agree with everything that happened in the past or that will happen in the future there. It's extremly rare to find a company where you can work and where you agree with absolutely all decisions taken by the company. The reason this job is great is that I'll be able to work on upstream GNOME for a good part of my work time. And such an opportunity is very rare too, I can tell you. It will enable me to do what I think is right. Isn't this important?
